Up for sale is a exceptionally well-preserved Compaq Presario 6016US desktop computer tower from the classic early-2000s Windows XP era.Unlike most untested "attic finds," this machine has been thoroughly opened, inspected, and booted into a live operating system to guarantee core hardware stability. It features massive period-accurate hardware upgrades, making it the perfect foundation for a retro-gaming rig or vintage software station.⭐ CORE SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS:

• Fully Functional Boot to Windows: The computer successfully powers on, POSTs perfectly, and boots straight into a fully responsive installation of Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (SP3).
• 100% Clean Device Manager: Verified driver stability across the board. There are zero yellow exclamation marks, missing driver prompts, or hardware errors.
• Maxed-Out 2GB RAM: Upgraded from the tiny factory stock memory to a fully maxed-out 2048 MB (2 GB) of DDR RAM.
• Massive 320GB Hard Drive: Upgraded to a huge 320 GB IDE hard drive formatted to a healthy NTFS file system with over 281 GB of free storage space remaining.
• Brand New CMOS Battery: The old dead cell has been replaced with a brand new CR2032 battery. It holds the system time, date, and custom BIOS settings perfectly when unplugged.
• Immaculate Motherboard Health: The internal MSI MS-6553 motherboard is in pristine condition. There is zero evidence of capacitor plague—all silver cylinders are completely flat with no bulging or crusty leakage.

CHASSIS & COSMETIC CONDITION:

• Excellent Structural Shape: Both metal side panels are remarkably straight with zero structural dents or impact damage. The left panel still retains its original, fully readable factory drive installation diagram.
• Original COA Sticker: The authentic Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Certificate of Authenticity label is fully intact on the side of the chassis.
• Factory Labels Complete: The rear specifications barcoding and bottom regulatory stickers are clean, intact, and unmarred.
• Minor Wear Notes: The case shows normal, light cosmetic surface scuffs and edge scratches on the exterior paint from age. There is moderate dust buildup within the front plastic ventilation slats and lower front corners. One silver metal expansion slot bracket cover is missing from the rear panel.

KNOWN DEFECTS / REPAIR NEEDED:

• The upper CD/DVD-ROM drives and the 3.5" floppy disk drive are currently non-functional and fail to read media. Windows correctly detects the drive controllers electronically, meaning the issue is strictly mechanical (bad belts or dirty lasers). The system is being sold As-Is / For Parts or Repair specifically due to these non-working drives.
