We have released the final of version 7.0 into the Members Area. We have numerous posts here talking about some of the new features, including this one. You can also see a list of features on our Features Page.

If you are already running a beta or release candidate of 7.0 you'll find the documentation for upgrading at https://www.ubbcentral.com/doc_upgrade7.php

If you are running an earlier version of UBB.threads or UBB.classic, and you want to do the upgrade yourself, you'll need the documentation found at https://www.ubbcentral.com/doc_import.php

A big thanks to everyone that participated in our beta testing. Your help was certainly appreciated!

Note to all returning visitors. If you had an account on both the version 7 test forums and the main ubbcentral support forums your accounts have been merged. You will need to use your version 7 login information to login.

We updated from RC1 to 7.0 in about 10 minutes, then went live tonight. We don't get much traffic this late in the day so we'll know more tomorrow, but so far so good. Congrats on a solid release!--David Cardinal

I had hoped to have myself upgraded last night, however our VPS as always is overloaded and lagging to death and timing us out, so I don't know if I'll be able to even upgrade to UBB.7 on an official basis for a while :/...

Me either. My homephone and DSL is down all weekend. Wonderful timing. tongue I need to look into wireless broadband to use while on the road so I can do this stuff during the week while away from home. I'm posting this from the tailgate of my pickup in the driveway with my laptop and Nextel.

I'm almost "done" and would love to go live next weekend... but would like to minimize the number of times I'll need to close down to update.

Any chance that 7.0.1 will be ready by Oct 20/21??

And, any chance my reported bugs would be fixed by then?

Upgrading within the 7.x structure should be relatively painless, and would take probably 5 minutes or so since its as simple as uploading the new files and running the upgrade.php script...

However if you have altered files etc., then Beyond Compare is your friend. smile It should still be painless.

I really can't give a timeframe on 7.0.1. Basically it's kind of a "feel" thing. I'd like to get everything reported fixed and I'd like to do it at a point where the bug reports slow down a bit. Normally these are anywhere from 2-4 weeks after the initial release for a rough idea.

Given that you generally post the fixes themselves on the forums as you implement them, I don't think it's too problematic that you hold off on the release... Those who need the fixes urgently can easily patch 7.0...

Just my 2 cents...

All that I can offer is to point you towards the changelog. I plan on studying that later today to stay current.
