Mark, I just wanted to know if the forum actually resizes (KB) pictures when uploaded. Your pic here, when opened fully, is 53.08KB. Is that the size of the pic on your PC because digital camera pics can be 3MB+ in size.

They are that size being uploaded. I just tried a 1.2mb and got an error saying it should be no more than 1mb but in bytes

I would assume that the 1MB limit is, like other limits, assignable in the CP. (One for Rick to answer).
Anyone using a basic hosting service with a 200MB allocation might find that they are pruning gallery topics on a regular basis.

It actually resizes and compresses the filesize using a quality setting in the control panel. Most of the images I've uploaded have been around 500-800KB, but they are quite smaller after being uploaded.

day time 30c easy.
the lakes which are normally frozen come winter are water again and get up to 10 - 15c
60c difference they deal with every year +30c to -30c
The sun goes away for just about 2 months, no direct sunlight so it gets colder and also stuff stops growing.
But summer time they will have the midnight sun for 2 / 3 months and then fall into our norm daylight and night time again.
No wonder santa clause moved there he's the only one that can put up with it lol

Its amazing the time of the midnight sun.
My First experience was of excitement, but it was sooo weird if you imagine the quiet of the darkness of the night (Out of any city's)
No wind, just calm, fresh clean air, the smell of summer and strange as it sounds a tweek or so from a little bird.
That's what its like but you need sunglasses on at midnight.
It is one of those calming wow factor moments in your life.
The kids love it?
Parent "I want you in before it gets dark" Kid comes home in September lol

The whole thing was a lot lighter its with me turning the camera into the sun, it decided to auto dull the image. So just imagine how light it is normally with the sun that high in the sky Bright and sun glasses are required
