UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 7 Version 7 Support Import 6.7.3 classic to UBBThreads 7.1.1. on two different servers

I have my old forum updated to 6.7.3 Classic on DA7.COM

I have a fresh install of UBBThreads 7.1.1. on audiotalkback.com

Is it possible to use the importer between the two separate web hosts or do I need to copy over my cgi-bin and ubb (non-cgi) directories to the new host first - then run the importer.

I'm having trouble because it's 30,000+ files. I was able to run a backup in a tar file using cpanel and download that but I'm now trying to FTP the two directories and it's taking forever. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
