HERE For you since you already edited the few scripts missing the extra hidden post value I don't see much of a benefit.
Unless you still have some issues that matchup against the very few bug fixes in 7.4.1.
The way the install/upgrade works today you really should run the install script to upgrade. You can't just ftp the changed files anymore unless you want to edit some more files to get them working.
Besides there are a lot of feature changes from what you were used to in Classic. It will take a while to digest it all.
