After several hundred clicks I managed to delete them all manually from my mailbox and only from my mailbox...
The nice thing is that the flashing envelope continues to blink non stop even without PM's. My guess is that it is to remind me of the many unread PM's I releted... :-)
I really do not understand how delete old PM;s in all accounts is not an admin option
