We didn't want to shock users search engine stats "so close" to an older build; plus there was a LOT of code cleanup that went into 7.5.9. We will definitely try to have the UBB.Sitemaps mod use the same URL syntax as the next release to help aid in any transition.

Plus we keep all of our code synced between the two of us over Dropbox, so you won't run into any issues with people parting the project and not having code provided to other parties like has happened in the past.
