I am an administrator in the
Larian forum. After the last update (7.5.8), some special and accented characters would be changed when posted, even though they were displayed properly in the preview. For example, the degree symbol ° would become ?ï½° (see the topic
Forums text display bug for more).
This is sometimes annoying in English, but effects posts made in French and German much more.
I assume the issue is similar to the
black diamond problem after the 7.5.9 update, but in this case old posts are fine, unless they are edited.
Where do I check/change the character set used when previewing, vs when posting/editing (if that is the problem)? The generic.php file lists the charset as the default iso-8859-1.
