Go into your admin area. (Forum, not server)

Choose to edit the config.

In there, look for dynamic post tracking.

Turn that off.

Now, all threads will open up at the first post in the thread, no matter whether you have read it or not.

Of course, you may now have people complaining that they are having to scroll through posts they have already read.

JustDave is right. The thread should be opening at the first post that the person has not read. If they have read none, it should open at the first post. If they have read 22 of 45. it should open at number 23.

I have not seen, myself, nor heard anyone else mention that when you register, all posts are marked read, and only posts made after that are marked new. That is totaly news to me. Thank you Qube. I will have to experiment to see if that is true on my board.
