We are using ver 5.45c and add a new forum periodically to accommodate new clients. We need the list of forums within a given category to sort alphabetically. I don't see a setting for that in the control panel. They appear to sort only by index number. Is there a patch that addresses this or perhaps an upgrade?

I THINK it was added into the 5.x series (so 5.47e would have it), but I'm not quite positive - checking now.

Nope, apparently not. You'd have to upgrade to a 6.x series which definitely has such an option, among many others.
