HI!!!
I am having a problem getting to the General Settings screen. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I am a little new to this but I think I have correctly installed everything (freeware version) just to check it out. The only thing I am fuzzy on is my Web Server has something about a cgiwrap gateway program that I guess needs to be included in the URL someplace and I am not sure of the correct format. At any rate I can load and access the cp.html file, but when I click on General Settings I get an error message The requested URL /cgi-bin/cpanel.cgi was not found on this server--and I know its in there!!--just not sure how to access it???? Also when cursor is held over General Setting I get "shortcut to cpanel.cgi?action=variables

Generally, if a host is implementing cgiwrap it works like this: http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/userid/scriptname.cgi

You'll need to check your host's CGI FAQ for exact directions on its use. If you find you have to use something like the above, then you will need to change your BASE HREF in your cplinks.html file so its links will reflect the cgiwrap correctly

Thank you for the quick reply--your advice worked as I was finally able to properly configue the BASE HREF statement and get into the Gerneral Settings Screen. I had a devil of a time with the path statements, but finally managed to muddle my way through. I hate to sound SO dumb []http://www.scriptkeeper.com/ubb/confused.gif[/] but all of this is rather new and foreign to me. I thought I had another problem, but managed to figure it all out although it took all day!!! []http://www.scriptkeeper.com/ubb/eek.gif[/]
