In the beginning of the directions #1 is says:

Quote
1. Upload all files in the cgi-bin folder of the .zip into the directory your UBB(tm) currently uses. If you are installing on a Unix system all of these files and your cgi directory must be 755.
Now does this mean your ubb directory:
(ie: /www/ubb or /www/cgi-bin/ubb_cgi_ files_go_here)

that sits below your cgi-bin or the ubb cgi directory where your ubb cgi-bin files live for those that use another directory besides plain old cgi-bin.

Which directory do the directions refer too?

I have no idea why you are posting an installation issue for UBB6 in a non-installation issue forum for UBB5.

Assuming from your domain name that you're on a Linux server, this thread is being moved to the UBB6 Unix Installation forum for further followups.
