Netfirms has a
CGI FAQ that requires cgi permissions to be different than what the UBB UNIX installation instructions state. The cgi-bin should be set to 701 and I believe ALL the files in the cgi-bin should be set to 700.
If you don't plan on running any other scripts, here is a good directory structure:
CGI files =
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/ Members dir =
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/Members/ NonCGI files =
http://www.mydomain.com/ubb/ If you plan on running other scripts, something like this would probably work better:
CGI files =
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ Members dir =
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Members NonCGI dir =
http://www.mydomain.com/ubb/ These are just my suggestions, that are pretty easy to follow, but you can pretty much do it however you want as long as the CGI files are somewhere in the cgi-bin and all in the same place.
For additional assistance, please post a link to your control panel (cp.html) and the UBB version number you're installing------------------
