I upgraded from 5.47 to 6.3.1. In 5.47, the "new post" feature seemed to work quite reliably. I could leave a browser session open and throughout the day it would give a good indication of forums with unread topics and topics with new posts.

In 6.3.1, it appears to not work at all. I have tried logging in and out, but today (Aug 7th) it is still showing forums and topics as new, even though I have read them and they haven't been updated since 8/5.

I have tried resetting cookies. That changes things, but the new post feature still doesn't seem to work right after a while.

The new post indicators in UBB6 work quite a bit differently than in UBB5. In order to reset them, you need to log out and back in or close all your browser windows, or click the link on the My Profile page.

If you are using IE, please be advised that it tends to get very, very confused when cookies get complicated....
