I know in 6.5 I was able to follow the link provided in the list when selecting topics to prune. It was a great way to do a quick check on the post to make sure I wanted it gone if I couldn't tell what it was from the subject line.

Now, in 6.6, the Board gets closed automatically while pruning and when you go to preview, you are just taken to the maintenance page saying the Board is closed. You can no longer preview a post before it gets pruned.

Is this designed behavior or a bug?

Mmm... Yes, that's an interesting bug indeed.

The board needs to close to ensure that no posts are made, which would cause bad things to happen while the prune process is occuring.

But at the same time, you'd need to view the posts, as you mentioned.

Admin-only off mode would be OK, but the prune utility works for moderators as well.

I'll figure out how to fix this one for the 6.7.0 release. (The scale of the bug is too large to safely fix in the upcoming 6.6.1 maintenance release.)

You're also unable to preview a post when mass moving as well.
