This new "title" thing which is driven by the number of posts could be extended to add a whole new dimension to wwwthreads.

In addition (or instead of) the "title", you could add a "rating" to the user, which would be displayed in the profile. New users would start as "unrated". Other users would be able to "vote" on the user by "rating" them, 1 to 10.

In this way, when reading a post by someone, not only would you be able to tell whether this user has been a frequent contributor, you would be able to tell what other people think of him/her.

You could "rate" a user starting from their profile, or maybe from a post they've made.

This would be an awesome first cut... and it could eventually lead to a further enhancement: being able to add a comment in addition to a rating. So from the user profile, you'd be able to see someone's rating, as well as read comments made about them.

I think that this could really extend the overall sense of community of a board.

You could then further extend the concept by allowing users to view only comments made by "highly rated" users.

Pretty cool eh?
