Just in case someone is thinking of suggesting it. In the next version there will be an option to enable HTML and/or Markup (possible new name of WTML, suggested in an earlier post), on a per board basis. So you will be able to disable both, enable both, or enable one or the other.

My users hate Markup - they are demanding their accustomed full HTML right NOW! Is there a way I can tweak the current script to achieve this?

My users love markup. They hate regular HTML because it tends to be abused.

Not to say HTML shouldn't be added -- I'd love to see the option in case I ever need it in the future. =)

It sounds like you could use XML to solve that! Why not adding the ability for both!? You would just need to add the feature to convert any of these into clean css'ed html!
Maybe I'm not that familiar with xml, but i read a bit into it and it should be possible!?

Although I have heard of XML, I am totally unfamiliar with it. I'll have to investigate it further to see if it would fit the bill.
