The next UBB should be much more flexible when it comes to editing/moving posts.

My moderators are really screaming for more editing powers like:

[*] Removing a post from a thread and make it a new topic
[*] Removing a post from a thread and paste it in another thread.
[*] Splitting a thread into two threads and having the ability to easily change the post titles of the new thread.
[*] After editing a post, there should be some field where the moderator can leave a reason why a post has been edited/deleted.

I'm now doing some tests with phpBB and it's much more flexible when it comes to editing/moving posts.

Anything like that planned for the new board software?

How it works in PhpBB:

You can click on 'split thread'.
This will show you a list of all posts in a thread.
Now you can check each post which you'd like to include in the new thread.

So original thread is has 6 posts: 1,2,3,4,5,6 > click split > mark/check post 3,4,5 > done
This will result in two threads:
thread 1: post 1,2,6
thread 2: post 3,4,5

Works great, should be standard in UBB too! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
