At the moment I'm running ubb.threads 6.4.2 and my site is pretty well know within the searchengine (48.000+ listings in Google).

Now what worries me is that when I would switch to the new Infopop Bulletin Board, I would loose all my indexed pages which I have gained in the past 3 years and will have to start from 0 again.

Ofcourse Google will start reindexing, but how long will that take ?! Will it not be possible to use some MOD REWRITE in .htaccess to point the search engines to the same post on the new board software ?

Or am I worried for nothing? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Infopop will be providing scripts that will forward to the correct post in the new software. This will be available to both Classic users and Threads users. It will give the proper headers so that Google will just update the url, and not need to reindex the entire site
