The calendar shows the "starting" day as a Sunday. Is there any way to change it so that Monday becomes the "Starting" day?

In fact it would be good to be able to select which day to start the calendar on - not just Monday.

Currently I do not believe this is available in the Beta. If you would like, I can tow this up to Feature Suggestions forum.

Yeh, I was thinking about this before, it does need the ability to change the starting day as some cultures use saturday, some sunday, some monday as the starting day of the week...

Any chance to see that in a 7.1+ version? Otherwise I would have to hack the code on my own.
For me it would be enough to have a config option that is fixed all over the forum, so the caching should be no issue.

I believe the 7.1 featureset is locked (since its in private beta right now), and theres always hopes for future versions, but I haven't heard anything for this option.

The calendar shows the "starting" day as a Sunday. Is there any way to change it so that Monday becomes the "Starting" day? Spamming aside I think this is a very good idea. As more people adopt Threads, I think you will see this question arise more often. Culturally, most weeks (I believe) start on Sunday & Monday. However, we can't forget the Muslim world. I suspect quite a few are using UBB? (I don't know the stats.) I believe the Islamic week 'start' is Saturday. Just a thought.

I have several Romanian friends whos calendars start on Saturday. I have several Russian friends whos calendars start on Monday's. And my calendar starts on a Sunday... It honestly varies and I'd LOVE to see the ability to offset it in Threads.

I don't know why you keep bumping this, I added this to 7.3 days ago. While I haven't built the UI for it, you can set the first day of the week to be any of the 7 days

can everyday be a weekend? When you're self employed, everyday is a work day... or weekend, depending on how you want to slack off...

Dear Ian,
Will 7.3 actually allow users to set this in their profile (on an individual per-user basis)?

I just had a look Yomar, and it's not a per user setting. The calender is often showed as an island, if it's a per user setting, the information in it can not be cached, and would impose more on the resources.

Thank you for your reply blaaskaak!
How about implementing two cached versions of the calendar? A Sun and a Mon calendar? That wouldn't impose that much on the resources, I guess...
