I changed a bunch of my gramelins... but the http://www.intercot.com/boards/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=faq page isn't reflecting the changes even though the new gramelins are showing up in the box below where you post a message.

Is there something special I need to to to get this page to update to reflect the current gramelins? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It should update automatically with the new Graemlins.

Delete the noncgi/Templates/public_faq.pl file and upload a clean copy from a UBB distribution zip file.

Also make sure that the Graemlins show up in the Instant Graemlins box on the post forms.

Great answers as always and prompt too <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It worked once i deleted and re-upped a fresh copy of the file.

Okay, good...

One more thing.

Open two browsers - point one at the control panel, one at the FAQ.

Load the FAQ... then add a Graemlin... then reload the FAQ.

Does the Graemlin show up?

Then clear the Misc. cache via the control panel.

Does the Graemlin show up then?

If it shows up only after clearing the Misc. cache, I apparently didn't add that function to the list of things the Graemlin engine should be doing.

If I just took one away instead of adding one for your test? I am maxed out on gramelins as the people seem to love the little buggers <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'll try it and report back in a little bit.

Yes, that would work. A change in the name or trigger text would also wokr.

Deleted a gramelin. Reloaded the page. The gramelin was still there on the faq page.

After clearing the misc cache and loading the faq page again... it disappears.

So, it appears in order for the faq page to change, you need to clear the misc cache.

Hope this helps.
