I managed to access the control panel without upgrading, as I kept getting an error message when I tried the ubb_grade.cgi:

Undefined subroutine &main::FileExists called at /w2/a/www.(nameofwebsite).com/html/ubbcgi/ubb_upgrade.cgi line 46.

When I hit the UBB upgrade button in the control panel, I now get this message:

Can't open '/w2/a/www.andrewdivoff.com/html/ubb/Avatars/index.html'.

Permission was denied - please ask the administrator to check the permissions on that file/directory!

I assume this is from me not being able to upgrade earlier. Can anyone help?
