bevor upgrading, have you any hacks installed at your board?

I did, but removed what I could at everyones instructions, and was told that I could do an upgrade to remove the hacks.

I was also informed that possibly, I would need to run a script known and "newstrip" and that it would remove any hacked profiles from the member fields, allowing it to work properly.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get newstrip.cgi to work on my server. I placed it in the CGI-BIN along with my vars files, but when I call it from IE, I get an error that stated it could not find Vars_Config.CGI.

In ubb_lib.cgi change

$vars_config{'MaxMemFields'} = 43; # maximum profile fields + 1. hard coded. That means it has to be changed here, Allen, not in vars_misc itself.

The newstrip.cgi is not good! It is from 2001 and then you delet your avatars at every profile...

DO NOT just randomly change the number to 60. Determine the number of profile fields you have, then change it to that number.

The field limit is there for your own protection.
