Gizzy, I get a bunch of search traffic in, but I'm not concerned about losing any ranking. It's just a personal site with no advertising or revenue stream.

Hmmm.... the attachment number changed in the importtest too. That might be from a server harddrive dying and losing some of the earlier attachments.

Ahh, ok, for sites that worry about income its a biggy hehe, i gues if it's just a personal site it won't matter much... I've been working on my list of design grypes a lot lately lol...

I'm starting to think I might need to leave my 6.5.1 up as an archive so that the attachments aren't lost unless the importer is changed to handle the attachments differently.

There are 2 options with the attachments. You can either set your attachments directory in 7.0 to the same directory that it was in 6.5. Or you can make it something different and then move all of the 6.5 attachments over to the new directory, which is what I did when I merged the forums here.
