We've just finished upgrading this site to version 7.0.1 This has also been released to the private tester group. This is strictly a bug fix release. Before this is released to the Members Area we will run it here for a few days to make sure that we have everything fixed and that no new problems were introduced with this version. If you'd like to see a list of what has been fixed for this version you can check the Changelog

Wow, sooner than I expected! Is 7.0.1 final now, or are you still adding some of the other fixes?
GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1) PHP Version 5.6.40 / MySQL 5.7.23-23 (was 5.6.41-84.1) / Apache 2.4.54 2007 Content Rulez Contest - Hon Mention UBB.classic 6.7.2 - RIP

It's pretty much final. As anything, we'll never be 100% bug-free and while we could wait another week or two before doing 7.0.1, we'd still probably have to do a 7.0.2 before 7.1 is finished

Oh yes, no one will ever see 7.0.1 because 7.0.2 is cooler

Good call, after such a major upgrade and software rewrite it's good to iron out the small bugs more often just to get them out of the way.
But please, also focus on the importer to make it as glitch-free as it can get. I know it's tough because there are both UBBC and UBBT users moving over and everyone expects a perfect import, but the better this importer performs, the greater the kudos from the thousands of users out there (not just admins).
Forget PMs, settings, buddy lists, ignore lists, subscriptions. What they're really after is getting their profile across (and especially the most important bits: reg date, number of posts... the rest they can fill in again) and to see all posts make it over.

Umm, don't forget PM's; thats one thing that every member of the private beta group agreed on was that we wanted PM's imported no matter what...

Yeah, we're probbaly looking at the first half of next week. Want to give it a few more days here and do a few more test upgrades/installs to make sure everything is good to go.

Not so sure about this. Most admin's would get a lot of criticisms if PM's were lost. Other items would still be desirable but maybe could be re-instated - but users are after a seamless import in what they regard as an upgrade not an import. They have no idea on the work behind the scenes, nor do they care - all they want to do is to be able to post and carry on. A bit selfish maybe - but the real world

I agree, move over their data (# of posts, reg date, etc.) as well as all posts and the brunt of the work is done.
PMs can be regarded as posts, so bringing them over can also be vital.
But on my board I'd be happy to just bring over all posts and member data. In fact I will probably purge all PMs, subscription data, to bring us over as quickly as possible.

I would very much doubt that you will see much of a time saving, with the majority of time taken by posts.
