If you enable custom fields, the value of field 2 will automatically display in field 1 while editing your profile.
This becomes a problem if you update other fields later, as the value of field 1 will be resetted to the value of field 2 as soon as you press the Submit button.
I.e. to make sure field 1 keeps its contents, you have to re-enter the info for this field again and again whenever you want to update your profile.

Indeed - I noticed this today, when I tried to enter bits like my MSN and Yahoo details - I would enter the details for one and it would appear in the one above.

I tried to enter bits like my MSN and Yahoo details - I would enter the details for one and it would appear in the one above. Maybe this was re-introduced with 7.02, or never implemented in 7.01? Because it works fine for me in 7.00 w/ the manual fix I did after reporting this some time ago. And I also have Custom Fields. But I do confirm that the IM fields that were supposed to be fixed for 7.01 are no longer working on UBBdev (7.02, with custom fields) yet it works here (7.02, without custom fields)...
GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1) PHP Version 5.6.40 / MySQL 5.7.23-23 (was 5.6.41-84.1) / Apache 2.4.54 2007 Content Rulez Contest - Hon Mention UBB.classic 6.7.2 - RIP

Are you running 7.0.2 Yomar? I've tried duplicating this on my test site and it's updating properly.

How did you correct this issue jgeoff? Yomar, check this thread and confirm whether Rick's fix is indeed in your version... But again, if this is a new issue, it could be related to whether you have custom fields or not.

Aye Rick, this is version 7.0.2. Can you try and test it on my forum Rick? Because on my forum I definitely have this problem. http://www.fabulaemarrii.com/ubbthreads7/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrmjpeoff, thank you for that! Indeed the code in 7.0.2 looks correct, so this must be due to something else.

Wait... it is possible this was a bug in 7.0.1 and is now fixed in 7.0.2? In that case, what I saw were merely leftovers of the previous bug. It seems everything is updating properly now.
