I am working through my new install of UBB Threads 7.0.2. For some reason while logged in as Administrator the "Control Panel" link results in a page not available message from IE7. I can backdoor into the control panel by selecting "User List", my user name and clicking on "Edit This User". While in the control panel the breadcrumb link to "Control Panel" also results in a page not available message from IE7.

In getting this error, the orginial link appears to be going to forums/admin/index.php, but flashes in the status bar to forums/admin/login.php just before the error is generated. I am already logged in as Administrator in both cases.

Any thoughts on why this problem is occurring?

Thanks,

Karl

Hmm, when going to index.php it's supposed to just redirect you to the login.php script in the admin directory. Can you bring up forums/admin/login.php directly?

In checking, I cannot bring the forums/admin/login.php file up directly. It results in the IE7 error page not available.

I did check that a file login.php is located in the forums/admin directory. It is a 10KB file dated 11/16/06 at 4:24 PM. I am not proficient in php, but you can see the php comments/code in a text editor.

Does it come up with page not available immediately, or does it take a bit of time? Might end up needing you to open a support ticket so I can get some info on your site including FTP info so I can take a look.

This appears to be a problem I am facing as well. I am using IE6 SP2 and am simply getting a blank page. I am able to log into the main page, but when I click on the control panel it comes up blank. Please advise if/when you resolve this.

I'll need someone that is having this problem, to open up a ticket with info to their setup including ftp info so I can investigate. Didn't hear from Karl yet and I can't duplicate this one on any system I've been on.

I opened a ticket: 1165873402-444NC My only issue is that this is an internal application, so access is a challenge. I can provide you any info you need and could use Live Meeting to share a remote console into the server.
