I there an option in 7.1 to disable the mood indicator and the associated online/offline indication next to all postings?

I don't know as I don't have CP access here, but at the very least a simple template edit should get rid of it if you wish...

I see the mood indicator the way it is implemented as an online/offline indicator

I hope Rick puts in options on things like this -- not everyone will want it and editing the templates to remove this is now another thing to do when upgrading

Agreed. Though all this stuff is able to be modified, I worry more that either my custom code will break updates, or updates will break my custom code. Like a back and forth battle I don't really need.

Easier if the options are available from the default CP or for user choices available from the board.

This will definitely get turned into an option. I just need to figure out how to word it and where to put it. The moods and online indicators go hand in hand, so the option would actually toggle both.
