I enabled Captcha and tried to create a new user on my site and was told "Image Verification incorrect." I can understand getting it wrong once or twice, but after the first couple of times of seeing the message I started refreshing to make sure it was something I could easily read. I tried it 15 times and received the same error every time.

I'm not seeing any images?
Im registering, filled in all the details from your reg page.
Login Name Password (between 4 and 20 characters) Verify Password Email Address Re-type Email Address Display Name (between 3 and 20 characters alphanumeric only)
That's all there was, so i clicked "Submitt"
Image Verification incorrect.
Please use your back button to return to the previous page.
There was no option to enter any letters when i visited. And i couldnt see any either ??
I dont know mate, going to test mine now lol

I had a problem with adduser.php on line 16 earlier this morning. I reuploaded that file to the server and it fixed it.

From the looks of it, it would seem that it's not writing the captcha code to the sessions directory when the image is created. Can you take a look inside your sessions directory and see if the files in there have a recent timestamp and are not 0 length.
If those files are being updated, then I'll probably need you to open up a support so I can debug directly.

I just looked at the file and there are only 31 lines in the original. Have you added anything to it? Make sure the file still following the following format. <?php
$ubbt_lang['variable1'] = "Desired1.";
$ubbt_lang['variable2'] = "Desired2.";
?>

Ahh, it doesn't appear to be writing any session files. The folder is blank. The directory is set to 777. What can I do to get the session files to work?

Are you able to write to other directories - for example importing a stylesheet?

I have successfully imported a few style sheets. I really haven't noticed anything going wrong with the site since I started using 7.

You'll want to open up your includes/config.inc.php directly and take a look what you have specified for the 'SESSION_PATH' variable.
Basically you'll want to make sure that this is just like the 'FULL_PATH' variable, only with a '/sessions' at the end.
