It seems that when my moderator's permission to approve posts was taken away, he was still able to approve. I have confirmed that whether the "approve check box" is checked or not, my moderator can approve posts by clicking approve and submit in the control panel. He cannot preview the posts. I am using the b4 version.

Rick, Is this the same thing or related. Even as an Admin I was not able to delete this post at the top level. I had to remove one by one. Since this post is the first post in a topic and already has replies it may not be deleted.
Please use your back button to return to the previous page. I'm running 7.02 where this happened.

No, that's different. If you want to delete the entire thread, then you need to use "Delete this Topic" under "Manage Topic". You can never just delete the first post as it would try to remap the replies to the parent, but in that case, there is no parent

You know, in .C when you delete the first topic it deletes the thread , it's likely thats why people are trying this hehe

Okay so user error. Perhaps a little rewording (for those of that don't read manuals much) that indicates that if we want to really remove it we need to choose "Delete this Topic" Thanks for showing me once again how I was using the program wrong
