Folks -

If I deny a registration it appears to put the users e-mail into a blacklist so they can't register again. How can I avoid this behaviour, or at least clear down the blacklist? It doesn't appear to be in the normal place.

To be specific, my forum has requirements for usernames that are specified in the agreement which people more often than not completely fail to read. I deny their registration telling them to read the agreement but then they can't register again...

Thanks,
Richard

It shouldn't be doing anything like that. When a registration is denied it deletes them entirely from the database so they should be able to register right away again. I've tested that here and it will allow me to reregister.

Hmm. Perhaps I have some DB corruption?

ubbt_USERS has 383 entries.
ubbt_USER_PROFILE (and ubbt_USER_DATA) have 404.
ubbt_USER_GROUPS has 442.

Perhaps I neeed a full blown support ticket?

What version are you currently running? I'll need to make sure older versions didn't have a bug where they weren't deleting from all 3 tables.

7.1 but it is an upgrade. To be fair the last instance of the problem I saw might well have been triggered by a 7.0 build. Is there something I can do to fix?

Short of coding a utility to look for valid users and purging invalid data; or database diving for days, I don't think theres an easy route of cleaning up such a mess..

I am a Web Development Contractor, I do not work for UBBCentral. I have provided free User to User Support since the beginning of these support forums.
