where can I remove the 'tip' when the user mouse over the topic subject?
The users are complaining that that feature is more a distraction then a feature...
Thank you

What browser/version and what version of threads are you running?

I don't see any mouseover popups at all on this board, either in Firefox or IE7. ...well, except for the "emoticons": confused

Oh. I see it in the Active Topics List.

Which brings me to a related problem. I can see how they are supposed to work on this board. However, on my board, they appear with a transparent background, text overlaying the existing text, so they both become unreadable. Can anyone point me to the correct place in the styles setup where I can fix the problem? I have modified my styles quite a bit, but did not realize this part was broken until now.

I did my homework now, and no response:
I search for "mouse over" and "mouse text" and "Mouse tip" and "Mouse post" and nothing come back to 'Remove' the feature. A lot of posts show up to 'fix' the feature that appears to be broken on version 7.1b4, but on my version 7.1.1 it's working perfec in Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox and Opera.

What I need is remove the feature. I don't want the text showing up when you move you mouse over the topics on the recent activity links (24H, 48H, and 7 days)

Any one know how to remove that?

yes, very simple. activetopics template. remove the onmouseover, onmouseout calls.

i've totally replaced them with a delayed javascript/ajax implementation.

That worked Sirdude smile
thank you.
Would be a way that UBB could implement it as a personal level?
I have to remove it from my forum just because 3 or 4 of my heavy users are using Mac with Safari browser...
I do not want they to stop posting, they are good users and they don't' want to switch to other browser, so I rater accommodate their needs, but if we could have a personal option, then any user could choose his/her own preference.
