Hi,
One of our forum members wrote to me and said that when searching for a string like "once upon a time" the search would return any posts that contained any of those words instead of the whole string. When I do the search it seems to search for the string. He said that placing a + infront of each word like this +once +upon +a +time would search for posts containing those words in a string. Is this true? How exactly does the search work on the forum?
Thanks

There are a few issues with the search engine that I'm addressing for 7.2 Full phrase searches like "once upon a time" will end up failing, because of some code that we have in for minimum search word length. This is actually handled by MySQL now and I need to pull that out. If you put a + in front of each one it will make sure the words exist but not in any particular order.

Well that will be nice to have a search update. Between UBB and MySQL it can be a pain to search for stuff.
Thanks for looking into this and doing an update Rick.
