Moderator Forum I find it helpful to have a hidden forum for Moderators, this is where they can chat and ask questions about how the forums are run. Best Practices. Moderators showing and teaching moderators. And its always handy to have a banter / chat thread in there to allow your moderators to let of steam It also saves sending the same private messages to individual moderators. Just my tip

Yep, I do this too. We also use it for "deleted posts" - instead of deleting we move to the hidden moderator forum. Sometimes when a post is deleted, the person whose post it was might complain about it or protest that they were treated unfairly. Moving the post rather than deleting it gives us all a record of it. Also it allows other moderators to see it, in case protests go to somebody else. That's just a tip, but one I've found very useful. It might be months later that protests happen - which is fine because we have those records.

Thank you so much for this suggestion! I requested this of my admin, and they added a mod forum for us last night, very happy!
Thanks again!

Yep, I do this too. We also use it for "deleted posts" - instead of deleting we move to the hidden moderator forum. i go one step further (not much of a step btw) to move it to a sub-forum of the hidden moderator forum (called 'Evidence'), so it doesn't clutter up the main mod forum. it's an active forum, so that's why i did it this way. Good stuff Rose
