How do I disallow moderator's from having access to forums that I do not want them to?

Example, I have a moderator moderating one forum (posting, etc.), yet they can post in forums that I have restricted to just me.

Thanks,

Go to the forum settings and set the permissions to read only if you want them to read but not write/reply or give them no access if if you do not want them to view.

Yes, so long as the "moderators" group has permission to post in a forum they can post; simply remove the ability for the "moderators" group to do anything you don't want them to in the forum settings.

O-tay, maybe I'm missing something???? The scenario is this, I have a moderator who is moderator 9 forums, however for whatever reason, they can also moderate (make changes to) the forums that I have setup specifically for me. Users and moderators should only be able to view.

Thanks,

Two settings then, first as stated above-> forum settings every group but you as read only. Second is to make sure in each moderators permissions, the forum(s) you are talking about are not selected for them to moderate.

Ok, maybe I'm stuck on stupid eek, but I have looked and changed everything that I could think of, but to no avail.

I have checked the permissions for this person and the only forums that are hi-lited are the ones that they are the moderator of. Yet, they continue to report to me that they have access to all of the forums.

Is this a glitchy or is this a scratchy?

Thanks,

Hey Mark, like the old cliche goes, if it were a snake it would have bit me on the back of the body where one sits laugh

I had to go into the Main Forums section and change the permissions there.

Thanks,
