When you have a thread with many many pages in it, it's easy to jump to the first page or the last page, but jumping to one in the middle is super inconvenient. Example thread: How would you jump to page 50 on this thread? http://boards.collectors-society.co...&Number=719218&page=1#Post719218

mind you have 10 posts per page is quite low.
However having say the next 10 in numerical order and then the balance divided by say 4 in either direction might be an idea. So that you get four groups up and down. Although I am not sure if 18 points of access would be too many.

I think a good base is 15 posts per page; leaves a good amount of "food" for search engines, and isn't so low that it becomes bothersome to users...

Yes, but what I think he's looking for is some type of little box to input what page to go to instead of keep clicking pages till you get where you want.

Like a jumpto window? If it listed how many pages were in the thread I guess you could put in a page number, but that would seem kind of random. I mean random as to what content might be on that page.

Ahh, a JumpTo dropdown like vBulletin has? I find it interesting enough, but never could understand how people know what page has the interesting bits on it
