I just updated a forum with version 7.2.1 and have received a bunch of complaints about the highlighted rows for threads containing new posts.
For the life of me I can't figure out which CSS class contains this formatting. Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks!

Ok, I found it in the control panel style editor, but when I download the css file, it's not there.

Whats not? Code is blank? if so just copy what you have for the standard one in that section and paste it in.

The new-alt classes are all blank, however the highlighted rows are showing up in the fourms, which is really driving me crazy.

You can just click the "copy" link next to each of the ones that are blank to give you some basic styles for the empty ones and then save it. At that point you should be able to go back in and tweak those.

Thanks Rick, thats what I meant. Guess it sounded right in my head Copy .newintopic and paste in .alt-newtopic, .new-newintopc, and .new-alt-newintopic and repeat for the others.

actually it's even easier, if you use the 'Copy' links to the right. and the javascript will do the copy/paste for you with one click..
it's a preference thing though and your method works good too..

Thanks, I think I got it figured out now. I have another question, why does the css file keep changing its big long number? For instance, when I installed the update, the default style was: ubbthreads_1188329717.css now it's: ubbthreads_1187958099.css

Basically it keeps it from being cached when a change is made. Some browsers will cache the style sheet, and you might go and change it but users are still getting the old one since it has the same name. We put a timestamp on the end of it, so the name will always change whenever the style is changed, which assures that users will always get your new style.

Makes sense. Thanks for the explanation ... it helps to know the reason behind it. I was updating the CSS file on my computer and uploading it, and then wondered why it wasn't showing up.

the stylesheet should be considered a "temporary" file; the styles are generated from data in the database and the stylesheet will be purged if updated.
