I'm hacving trouble configuring RSS feeds. I have a board with 9 forums but I only want RSS on 3 of them. I have enabled RSS on those three, but no feed files are ever generated in the cache dir. When I click clear cache, RSS feeds are generated for ALL forums, even ones that are not checked! These are private forums that I do not want feeds for! What am I doing wrong?

a version of your board as a start will help.
i'm assuming 7.1 or 7.1.1 and not the beta ?
and a link to your forum?

Okay, it is generating the feeds. It's just that the clear cache button causes rss files to be generated for all forums regardless the checkbox setting. I deleted the unwanted feeds manually and everything looks to be working fine.

It's just that the clear cache button causes rss files to be generated for all forums regardless the checkbox setting. Now that would be an interesting bug... And a security issue for "staff only" forums...

I'm seeing the exact same behavior with 7.2.2. My private forums get an RSS feed generated even though it's disabled.

Now that would be an interesting bug... And a security issue for "staff only" forums... Just verified it. With the custom membertitle dataloss and putting potential confidential information on the streets, I would say a 7.2.3 would be something to consider instead of waiting a few months for 7.3. It's not that you check your cache directory daily. For those seeking for a quick fix for this privacy problem, in /admin/doclearcache.php I commented out this line: generate_rss_feeds(1);
just replace with
// generate_rss_feeds(1);
Not the cleanest of all fixes, since it disables the rebuilding of rss feeds through the clear cache button completely.Ignore that, read https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/197037/Main/41479/#Post197037 and apply that
