Was playing around with the Move Topics function in the CP and did a "older than" to test the waters. I noticed in the resulting topic list that all of the locked topics were excluded.

If I were to move several years worth of topics from a particular forum and had maybe a 300 or so "locked" topics left over, how could I mass move those remaining topics?

I didn't test anything, but there is a thingy called Only Include Closed Topics: in that move section in control panel. Have you tried that one?

So basically this would be a two step process, once to move unlocked topics and a 2nd time to move the locked topics.

well, that Only include closed topics I actually read as "only include closed topics". It doesn't say anywhere that you only get open topics if you don't tink that setting.

I went ahead and did my move and while the topic list that was built didn't show locked topics, it did move them, but only after I did it a 2nd time by ticking that "closed topics" check box... I had duplicate topics after that run! Argh.

But due to another screw up on my part (I didn't delete the old topics) I was able to purge the target forum of the newly imported topics and now I'm about to start over.

I hestitate to say "bug" until I get some more experience with this function, but it sure smells like one.

No bug. I swear when I compared the forum list to the move list I didn't see the locked topics. But I just tested this again and sure enough, it does include locked topics.
