UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums Resources and Customizing How Do I? single sign-on

So, I know that this is bigger than a bread basket, but how difficult would it be for my web developer (not me, God knows) to merge the process of registering on our site. In other words, currently we have a community center where people can upload files, comment on news stories, etc. To do so, they have to register and log in. When visitng the forum, they also have to register and log in. Is it possible to combine the registration and pass this "logged in" status between forum and other parts of Web site? (I know that anything is possible, but have any of you accomplished this before?)

Yes it's possible.

You can do it in 2 ways, either use the ubb.threads registration system and use that one throughout the site (that's what I do), or from within the foreign process create an ubb.threads user and create a login cookie. UBB.Threads can not work without it's own database.
