I have written a custom ASP script to add users directly into the MySQL database (for version 7.1.1). Does anyone know if there's a flag in the database to mark the 'Newest Members' island as out-of-date, so UBB.Threads will automatically regenerate it? I'm not using PHP, so I can't call the regeneration code, even if I knew where it was.
Thanks!!

I could, I suppose, make the ASP page open a custom PHP page after it's added the user, which just runs the script to update the island. I don't know anything about PHP, though.
Also, I found that the "Clear Cache" button will refresh that island...although I'm not sure if that's the best way to handle this.

ideally an API of sorts would be nice. i have a 50% completed xmlrpc API, but put it on hold until 7.3 comes out. then i can get back to coding it back up. it uses a shared API 'key' to then allow interaction with requests. this would be one of the functions..

This seems to work... <?php
// Require the library
require ("../libs/admin.inc.php");
require ("../languages/{$config['LANGUAGE']}/admin/generic.php");
require ("../languages/{$config['LANGUAGE']}/admin/doapproveusers.php");
// Generate any content island feeds for total members
rebuild_islands(0,array("new_users"));
?>
<p>The new users island has been rebuilt.</p>

yeppers that works fine although you don't need to 2 lang files, since you are hardwiring the Text output
