A small question... What does "cfrm" mean ? some abbreviation ?
English is not my native language. I try my best to express my thought precisely. I hope you understand what I mean. If any misunderstanding results from culture gaps, I apologize first.

The main or "cfrm" page is the categories and forums page.

No, it's Category and Forums. It's a throwback from OpenTopic. When Peter was designing OpenTopic he needed a 3 or 4 letter group to signify a page or action. Back then cfrm was category and forums, admn was the control panel, a single forum was frm, and a topic was tpc as you might have guessed.
Around the office here we started referring to the categories and forums level of all of our products as cfrm as it's shorter to say. When UBB classic and threads got merged, and the great big rewriting started, that page naturally got named cfrm and it just stuck.
