I'd like to pass the username from the cookie to the chat. Could someone let me know what I should specify for the username value that the cookie stores? For example, I'm "BillT" on this forum. What value is that in what cookie?

Threads does not store the username in a cookie, it does store the usernumber.

On ubbdev there's a script from Ian Spence that you could use to exactly find out the username, and if they are logged in correct or not (and if they are banned).
