My members can't Edit their own posts and for the life of me I can't understand why.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong ? (ubbt 7.2)

In Control Panel under Feature Settings--Edit Post Time Limit: put in the desired amount of time that a user can edit their post. There is no FOREVER but you can put in 9999999 to simulate forever.

I don't recommend "forever" because now and then you'll get some bored clown who decides to edit or delete all his posts. I set mine to 43200 (one month) for editing, and 10080 (7 days) for deleting -- figuring that's long enough to decide what you want to do.
GangsterBB.NET (Ver. 7.6.1.1) PHP Version 5.6.40 / MySQL 5.7.23-23 (was 5.6.41-84.1) / Apache 2.4.54 2007 Content Rulez Contest - Hon Mention UBB.classic 6.7.2 - RIP

I agree on not allowing forever... During testing of 7.0 we had a user who decided he no longer wanted to be associated with our forums, and purged everything... Guess it was perfect for beta testing this feature then lol...

By the way, on an unrelated note, how can I get rid of the [X ]Views ยท [X] Comments on posts made on the Portal?

Well knock on virtual wood... Have only had a user go back and remove their posts 1 time in 6 years so we've been okay with it.
Though many sites I can easily see why you would not want to allow users to do that.

We had one mod resign by clearing out all of the posts from the forums that they moderated... Unfortunately this mod was like a brother to me so I trusted him more than anyone else on the forums, and thus had access to our largest forums lol... So it's not just users you have to worry about... (BTW, he told me to "take a break" and that it didn't matter and that I needed a life; as I showed him the door by adding him to the apache banned clients)

LOL - Yeah, our deletion was from a Moderator as well. Though with automatic daily full backups it doesn't really matter that much as I can put it all back any time I want.
