The right column on my site has recent topics but it has stopped pulling them in (updating). Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

I also cannot re-order the portal boxes, the saves wont change.

New forums can't be added either

I've also deleted sub forums but they are still appearing on the forums list even though they no longer exist.

I have tried clearing the cache.

I think it may be some sort of permission issue on the cache directory and files within. Try deleting all of the files except for the index.html file from the cache directory on the server and see if they update properly.

What permissions should each folder be please? Or can someone link me to the installation instructions?

Folders listed in the permission checks, normally need to be 777, while the files within need to be 666.

all directories are showing ok now but the right column is now invisible and can't be re-ordered and the sub forums have vanished.

Ok I have the right column back... but the shot box is empty and not working... any ideas?

There were LOTS of permissions issues with the files. Should be smoove now
