Hi,

I'm still running 7.2.2 and for some reason today my site has logged me out and wont let me log in again. I can log in as another user, but when I try and log in as me with my password it goes back to the "you are not logged in" front page. I've tried deleting cookies and clearing my browser history. I've tried getting it to send out a new password, but it's the same thing the new password doesn't work. I did manage to get in at one stage, and I clicked the keep me logged in button, but when I closed my browser it logged me out and I can't get in again.

Does anyone have any ideas? Yesterday it was doing weird stuff with the right hand column. Whenever I used my back arrow on my browser the right hand column was doubling in width, but then when I refreshed the screen it went back to it's normal size. But that problem seems to have corrected itself today.

I can't change the permissions in my sessions folder until my host chmods them over to me, so will try that next.

Do you know where the email addresses for users are stored in all those files (newby here)? I changed my email addy when I managed to get in earlier, but changed it to the wrong thing so can't even get temporary passwords sent out at the moment.

**edit .. forget that email question, the emails just came through.

email addresses in threads are stored in the mysql database.

Hi,

Still having log in problems here. I can log in now, but only if I don't tick the "remember me on each visit" box. If I tick that box I just get taken back to the beginning again.

I'm not sure, unless someone else can think of something obvious you might need to submit a ticket for support on it.

Just an update, I did the support ticket thing and the problem turned out to be that I had the cookies expiry thingy (technical term) blank instead of set to a number.

Touch wood, it seems to be fixed now.
