How do you locate (and delete) posts by users who now are unregistered?

The member management and search feature won't find anything.

(using ubb.threads)

Any posts by unregistered users are attached to USER_ID 1. There's no built in way to locate all of them at once besides using a SQL command and even then becomes quite complex, because if the post has replies by registered users, then they need to be reattached to the topic.

Is there a specific reason you need to do this. Are there a lot of posts that need to be deleted, or just some?

the search doesn't find "anonymous" or "unregistered" nor can you find by IP address.

The software (prune) will only find posts when they are the first on a thread by user 1, so any posts in a thread that are not the first are not found.

So how to find each and every post done by these now set to anoymous in a timely manner?

There is no option to turn the anonymous back so you can locate and delete all posts by that or those users?

Has to be something, or something needs to be created in the software.

Also: can you give me the exact SQL command to see if this will help this rediculously time consuming situation.

Also when they are found as the first poster, how can I delete the first post and leave the rest (software set or won't let me delete that post as it has replies) or how can I move all posts AT ONCE to be a seperate thread (without having to move each and every reply one by one).

At this time, it's something that needs to be created. Honestly, it's the first time that I can recall that it's ever been asked for, so it hasn't been put in yet.

There isn't a SQL command I could give, as it would have to be a script that had some logic to it in order to delete things, reassign posts to new parents, etc.

As for deleting all replies in a post. You can edit one of the posts and then select move post & replies. That might not catch all of them, as some may be a reply to the original topic, but should help get a few at a time.

you may want to consider not having the option of being able to set someone to anonymous until you work out the details in future versions.
