Hi!
After upgrading to 6.5.5. we have some strange happenings.... Some User are not able to login. One of them gave me his Username & Password and I tried it by myself and I had no problems. I tried different browsers and with all it was ok. The User also tried it with different browsers and with his private PC but no success. He always got a message that he is banned or something like that. What could be his problem (except mistyping) ?

We usually do not ban any IPs .... in Version 6.3. everything was fine. I got more and more claims from users that the login doesn´t work! It´s really a strange matter .... Other users do not have this problem and are posting as usual.... could this be a cookie issue ?

I would suggest getting the exact error message from anyone having issues as they error can vary and what they are telling you may just be their interpretation of the actual error.

I have just phoned with one who has just claimed. He has ordered a new Password from the system. He gave me this login details and I was also able to login...... !!!!!!!!!!!! I logged off and he tried again and it still doesn´t work. I deleted all the cookies in his account (in the hope it would help) but nothing.... He always got the error that the User/Password wasn´t found the database....

He would need to delete the cookies, as they are stored on his computer(s).
What I would suggest doing is to become him, then change the password manually, then give him the new password.
In the past, I have found the temporary one does not work for some reason and by manually altering it the user was able to log in.

Ok, I will suggest him to delete the cookies on his machine..... But I was able to login with the temporary Password so this works.
If I use the "become use" function will I lost then the admin account or will I just switch over to his account?

You will need to log out once done, and then log back in as admin.

Hi! I think the matter has been solved. It seems that it was a cookie issue. After the move we linked to the new board because it was only reachable under another URL. Now the move of the domain is finished and some of the guys who claimed before were able to login. Thanks for your help..... but I think I will be back soon with some other issues.....
