I've been using automatically renewing annual subscriptions for access my forum for over a year.
I'm looking for an easier way to deal with canceled subscriptions (which did not auto renew) and subscriptions where the renewal payment failed.
Anyone know if there is a way to run a batch file that say finds everyone who successfully made a subscription payment in November 2007 but did not successfully make a subscription payment in November 2008?

the 'batch file' would be an SQL query and it would be possible

The money from subscriptions = good Managing renewals = sucks I dont think too many people realize how important this really is, there are so many bugs in the subscription program. I probably have 50+ members that are using my site for free, I dont know what to do! There are so many ways of them accidentally falling into a flaw. I have posted in 2 other places hoping for some help.

I see you posted in the bugs forum 2/27 it is possible Rick missed the post or is working on the issue. You might try to bump that post to get his attention.

Everyone in here is great, I don't want to be a pest, just thinking some things are more important to them. I am patiently waiting a turn

Still I would bump your post in the bugs forum. Like I said Rick may have overlooked it or is still working on a resolution. Posting on 02/27/09. Is ample time to expect a response.

In an attempt to deal with this issue, I manually looked at my PayPal subscribers by doing a search of my subscriptions in the PayPal system.
I'm sure I didn't find all the problem accounts, but I feel I got most of them.
I'm only dealing with 2,000+ subs. I couldn't imagine checking over more.
Some background ...
I started taking subscription payments before it was a feature in Threads. I'm still running 7.2, and haven't upgraded to the latest version yet, so I haven't seen how it handles subs. I do know that I'm going to have to do more manual work (such as entering expiration dates in profiles) when I finally do upgrade.
I realize probably not a lot of people are running paid forums, but I decided to in 2007. Mainly for two reasons: 1. I started to question how much time I spent moderating my site and dealing with those who posted garbage. Going to a paid site was a way to instantly weed out the troublemakers. Of course it also meant losing some good members, but it was a risk I decided to take.
2. Revenue Considering how the economy -- and advertising -- has changed, I'm happy I did this. Ad dollars aren't as easy to come by any more.

Totally off the subject, but Ruben, how the heck do you have 2003 registration date? I thought this new UBB board went online in 2006. Even Rick has a 2006 reg date.

Actually I registered June of 2000 I think, when I purchased classic 5.?? At that time this was a classic board Then the Eve system came about and I could not log on anymore so I had to re-register. In those days ( I believe ) it was just Ted and Charles Capps with Infopop. And I think Rick was a competitor with wwwthreads??. So I ended up being migrated to this new board . Then later on Rick came on board. Rick can chime in anytime if I stated anything incorrect.
BTW Gizmo was a new kid on the block when I registered. But I was new also and a lurker then.
I think just something happened over the years with the registration date. Maybe did not work after a while and people just re-registered.

Lol new kid on the block? My classic license is from like 1998 :x... HEh Heh Heh. I might have been here before 2000. I remember the free version that everyone hacked to death. I know in those days you were asking the questions not providing the answers. But I think you were more active at UBBDEV than here at the time. But at any rate something happened along the way here, because looking at your post history the oldest is before your registration date.
