After migrating ubb classic to ubb threads, in the "edit config settings", the following code is displayed:

$config['stripcodes'] = "0";

any idea what this is ??

Where is that displayed? Down in the very last box on that page?

If I recall this is for emails sent out for the board subscriptions. I believe it strips the html code from the posts being sent.

Brett, yes, in the box with the text:

"The following variables are unknown to the base UBB.threads package, but might be used by installed hacks or modifications to the program:"

This is an outdated config option that was removed, must be a remnant of it. Now that users can specify HTML or plaintext emails this was no longer needed.
